Cleveland Browns pack up facility as another player tests positive for COVID-19
BEREA, Ohio -- The Cleveland Browns have pack up their practice facility once more after another player tested positive Monday morning for COVID-19
"We're trying to follow all the principles and keep everybody safe," said coach Kevin Stefanski, who noted contact tracing is ongoing
This is the second consecutive week a Cleveland player has tested positive. The Browns had to pack up their facility Friday for contact tracing, then placed reserve offensive lineman Chris Hubbard on the reserve/COVID-19 list
On Nov. 8, the Browns had to put Baker Mayfield on the reserve/COVID-19 list after the quarterback came into contact with a staffer who tested positive for the coronavirus. Mayfield didn't test positive and returned to practice Wednesday
The Browns defeated the Houston Texans 10-7 on Sunday and host the Philadelphia Eagles next weekend

New Orleans Saints' Drew Brees has fractured ribs, collapsed lung, source says
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees revealed that he has multiple rib fractures on each side of his chest and a collapsed lung on the proper side, consistent with a source
Brees is unsure what proportion time he could be forced to miss before returning to start out for the Saints, the source said
The most optimistic timetable for a return is 2 to 3 weeks, but the people involved are prepared for it to be longer, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano. it'll depend upon how long his injuries fancy heal, which varies from patient to patient, and when the Saints are convinced he's ready to take successful without risk of great re-injury. there's hope that he returns in time for the playoffs
Brees is affected by three fractured ribs on his left side and two on the proper , possibly more, consistent with the source. Doctors have cautioned Brees to be especially careful with the damage to his lung
The two broken ribs on his right side occurred within the half of the Saints' victory over the San Francisco 49ers, a game that backup Jameis Winston finished after Brees determined he couldn't play the last half because he was having difficulty breathing
The three fractured ribs on the left side are believed to possess occurred within the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. They didn't show up intrinsically on the X-ray performed at the time, possibly due to inflammation, but they were clearly seen on the scan performed Monday
Doctors performing the evaluation believe the right-side fractures may need punctured the quarterback's lung Sunday, creating a pneumothorax. that's what caused Brees' difficulty inhaling the sport and resulted in him informing head coach Sean Payton that he couldn't play the last half against the 49ers
which was causing enough pain that Brees was apparently unaware of the rib injury he had suffered against the Bucs. That was believed to possess happened within the second quarter
Payton on Monday declined to supply any updates on Brees' injury status or who might replace him at quarterback if he misses time
"Wednesday is our first day that we're required to [report injuries]. And to be fair to the method , let's persist with that," said Payton, who said he wouldn't announce the starting quarterback until late within the week
"None of it benefits us by announcing that player before later," Payton said. "I wouldn't project or answer that in any way. We'll see how in the week unfolds
However, it might stand to reason that the Saints would persist with Winston within the short term, since he was the one who filled certain Brees on Sunday -- and since the Saints went with Teddy Bridgewater as their replacement during Brees' five-game absence last year
Although the Saints do consider Taysom Hill as a possible long-term option at quarterback, they might need to change their offense more significantly to suit his unique skill set as a runner/passer. and that they wish to use him as a playmaker in their offense at QB/RB/WR/TE/FB
Payton reiterated Monday that he thought Winston did "a good job" during the last half of Sunday's game. Winston completed 6 of 10 passes for 63 yards with zero TDs and 0 turnovers. He had a few of errant throws, including one that was nearly intercepted. However, he did lead the Saints to a field goal and a touchdown within the 27-13 victory over the 49ers
"Both he and Taysom have an honest pity what we're trying to try to to . They pick things up. and that i desire it is a good room," Payton said

Las Vegas Raiders buses' lap of honour at Arrowhead irritated Kansas City Chiefs' Andy Reid
The Las Vegas Raiders took a lap of honour of sorts around Arrowhead Stadium in October after beating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-32 for his or her first win within the rivalry since Jon Gruden returned as coach in 2018. Their team buses circled the stadium on their thanks to Kansas City International Airport for the trip home
As the 8-1 Chiefs began preparation for Sunday night's rematch against the 6-3 Raiders in Las Vegas , Andy Reid seemed irritated about the lap of honour
"They won the sport in order that they can do anything they need to try to to ,'' the Chiefs coach said on Monday. "That's not our style
Later, Reid was asked whether it had been harder for a team to play an opponent for the second time when it won the primary game between the teams. Reid said no, then added, "I think they [do] or they would not have driven the bus round the stadium
The Chiefs could go an extended way toward winning a fifth straight AFC West championship by beating the Raiders on Sunday. A Las Vegas victory could signal a decent race to the top
The game is that the first since 2016 -- once they tied for the division title at 12-4 -- that the teams have played with such a lot at stake for each side . The once-bitter rivalry has been dominated by the Chiefs in recent seasons
Kansas City is 12-3 against the Raiders since Reid arrived as head coach in 2013 and had won five straight, four by double-digit margins, before the Las Vegas win in October
"It's two good football teams playing one another ,'' Reid said. "I don't think either team likes the opposite that much, as they've stated before
