The pop queen performed her hit singles “Don't Start Now” and “Levitating
The cast of Saturday Night Live closed out 2020 with a banger lineup, featuring none aside from our rising pop queen, Dua Lipa — or, Dula Peep, as Wendy Williams has infamously labeled her. And her performance was — just like the hit single off her first album — hotter than hell

Before hitting the stage, Dua teased fans by appearing during a war II-themed skit, somehow making a military uniform dress look stylish. Then, she slipped into a vintage Azzedine Alaïa belted top, paired with leggings and a black leotard , to perform a stripped-down version of "Don't Start Now." Per usual, the amount reminded us of how desperately we'd like a Future Nostalgia tour post-COVID, and of how spectacular Dua is
For her second performance, Dua set her dance moves aside and dawned a couture Valentino white gown with matching feather headdress to bring “Levitating” to the SNL stage. it had been peak "Jellyfish, but make it fashion," and Dua looked as ornate as ever. The performance itself was stunning, yet far different from the electrifying version she performed a couple of weeks back at the American Music Awards
"She is that the moment," tweeted one fan, while another wrote, "2020 belonged to Dua Lipa!" And while many fans jumped at the prospect to meme Dua's under-the-sea-esque headpiece ("I quite thought Spongebob and Patrick would attempt to catch #DuaLipa on #SNL tonight," joked one stan), another promptly wrote, "I am mesmerized by Dua Lipa’s hat on #SNL and shall henceforth wear one a day on every Zoom call." Now that's a vibe
One thing's clear: Dua is that the queen of versatility, both in her style and in her music. Whether rocking a couture gown, fishnet stockings, or military minidress, she continues to prove her excellence time and time again. And what better thanks to end 2020, and SNL's yearly lineup, than with some classic Dula Peep
